In the morning I have coffee with Jesus ♥ I spend my time reading, praying and I study His word. What better way to spend my time! This morning I was reading Ephesians 4:17-32 KJV. It speaks of the old life and the new life. If you would like to get out your Bible and read it. I have some of the definitions here for you on some of the words.
v17. Vanity of their mind.~ Vanity-too much pride in one's looks, ability, lack of real value, worthless pleasure or display.
v19. given themselves over unto lasciviousness. ~Lascivious- feeling, showing, or causing physical desire or lust.
v31 clamour put away. ~ clamour-a loud noise, especially of voices, continual uproar, a noisy demand.
v31. be put away with all malice. ~ malice-active ill will; wish to hurt or make suffer; spite.
This chapter is about when you give your heart to the Lord, all the things you use to do or say should be gone from you. I am not saying that we will not have a struggle with anything, but God will be right with us to help us, guide us and even keep us from temptation. We must ask for help and strength and He will freely give it to us. In v.31 It speaks of true holiness. Holiness is living a life separated from things of this world and living a holy life for God. He has called us to be holy. He wants it to be real, from your heart pleasing God not man...true holiness.
Leviticus 11:45 KJV For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.& 1 Peter 1:16 KJV Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. ~ Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14 KJV
I hope you enjoyed this short Bible study. As with any Bible study of mine it's usually alot longer and even more in depth, but It would take up alot more time and space that I just simply do not have. :) So, for now I will say see y'all later!
Blessings,
Sheila ♥
